2. Exemptions for EU/EFTA/UK Students

This exemption allows them to receive medical treatment in Switzerland under their home country's insurance system.
3. Exemptions for Non-EU/EFTA Students
Students from non-EU/EFTA countries can apply for an exemption if they have private insurance that offers equivalent coverage to Swiss standards. This exemption is typically granted for up to three years and can be extended once for another three years. After this period, students are required to obtain Swiss health insurance.
